Horses
This month we have welcomed two new horses to the team here at Witham Villa:-
Henry - a 16.2 Irish horse that has come from a long term private home. He is well schooled on the flat and also a good jumper. He has settled in really well and we are sure he is going to be a firm favourite.
Kimmy (Kimbassa) - a KWPN mare that has competed up to Elementary dressage and then had time out to breed two foals for us- Spritz and Vesper. Since Vesper was weaned last Autumn she has been progressively brought back into work and will be a wonderful horse for experienced riders to develop their dressage skills.
CPD - Verity attended the two day Principles of Dressage convention at Hartpury University. This was aimed at Judges, Coaches and Stewards showing training through the levels from Prelim through to Prix St Georges. There were two break out sessions for coaches on Ethical coaching and Constructive Feedback.
Kate Cowell Clinics - we now have dates right through to the end of the year - all on My Riding Life, so get them in your diaries!
British Dressage Competitions -
Fizz - High Hoes Epernay has now started to compete at Novice level with India having completed qualification for the Regionals at Prelim. She made a very good start with a 68% followed up by a 70%, so only needing another two scores to complete qualification at that level too. And she achieved those scores on a very windy day at Pickering Grange where the white boards down the long side had to be taken down due to being blown over! Such a good girl!
Nalla - Vanilla P . India is now competing her at Medium level and achieved 68% in M4 followed up by 70% in M5, so just another two scores needed. In April they will be competing at the British Dressage Winter Championships at Elementary. We wish them luck.
Eddie - Escade - We were delighted that India and Eddie achieved 69.7% in the Inter 2 test at Newbold Verdon this month. The will be competing in their first Premier League at this level in April at Addington, again, the very best of luck.
