Stable Management Training Schemes - Witham Villa is proud to run both a Junior Trainee scheme and now an Adult Trainee scheme too. We welcome adults to join as a Witham Villa Adult Trainee where you will receive practical training and work to achieve the Witham Villa Stable Management Rainbow Awards. These awards were written by Verity Saul - a senior coach with the British Horse Society and aim to develop knowledge to prepare for BHS, ABRS, Pony Club exams or simply to have the knowledge and experience to have and look after your own horse or pony. Please email in if you would like to join to :-withamvillarc@gmail.com

Witham Villa Junior Trainee meeting - a meeting was held by Kelly Masterman-Smith, attended also by Verity for parents for a general update on the scheme. Kelly has since sent out the minutes of the meeting.

Staff Training - this month saw a number of our staff go off for First Aid CPD training.

Extra Activities - Unaffiliated dressage, pole clinic and a dressage clinic with Kate Cowell were all enjoyed this month

Maintenance - This month all of the hedges behind the stables were cut back. We have a continual maintenance programme to ensure that Witham Villa stays in good shape

British Dressage - Verity and Gaya had a successful trip out to Onley to compete in Advanced Medium 4 & 6, gaining points towards winter qualifications. They also went to Bury Farm EC as guinea pigs for the BD UKCC Level 3 Coach Training

Horses - We are pleased to welcome a new pony to Witham Villa - “Bankwood Ceasar” - stable name Ceasar. He is a lovely black Fell pony around 13hh and is being assessed by staff prior to becoming available for lessons.

May - such a great pony in the school, one of our clients had completely fallen in love with her and we were reluctantly persuaded to sell her. We are pleased to report that she is doing really well in her new home and looked wonderful when she was brought back up for a lesson with Verity

Deacon - We regret to announce that following consultation with our vets, the decision was made to put Deacon to sleep in September - he had been off work for a long time as he was unsound and had been receiving veterinary treatment, but sadly he could not be made better and be pain free . He was a lovely horse and was much loved by us all.
